I thought the show was fantastic, and it provided the kind of mystical, magical experience that (albeit temporarily) actually made my life seem worth living. Peter Murphy, besides his gorgeous voice, is a skilled theatrical craftsman and master music-caster. Truly the performance belongs under the category "Fine Arts."

The show was GREAT, one of the best shows I have ever seen of Peter's. I expected it to be predictable, It was ANYTHING BUT! He played a lot of new stuff which sounds very, very good to me. If the whole new album is like this I am excited!

He only played a few songs from his solo back catalog, so if you are expecting another greatest hits tour, this isn't it. But I have heard those songs before many times so for me it is much more exciting to hear new songs. Especially when they sound this good!
The band also played really well and they all seemed in a good mood. Peter was relaxed, funny and chatty and friendly, he came to the front of the stage several times and shook hands with many people. There was just a great vibe in the audience, and it was contagious to the band. The love was flowing both ways. :)

This show was so good that about halfway through, I decided to go to 2 more shows on the tour. I was waffling whether to attend more than one so I waited to see how it would be and they convinced me! I have to hear these new songs again and I don't
want to wait for the album!

Peter's show in Portland, OR (at the Aladdin Theatre was AMAZING! He was funny and full of wit. Great energy and his usual brilliant self! Last year, he was sick and cancelled this one gig on the tour so it was fantastic to finally get to see him this year. Drove up from Eugene, OR for this and was NOT disappointed whatsoever. SeeSawSway!!!

Tonights show was great! all except the venur security who did not want us to tak esetlists home as mementos. Sorry if you guys planned to reuse them. We always print nw ones out. Never in my life have I had my arm pulled behind my back to the point of snapping and ushered out without putting up a fight and then thrown out. All I wanted was a memento to remember the show by. Peter, you are a dear dear man and an excelent vocalist. All I can di is learn from you. To bad i had to nurse my arm outside while you played a Joy Division cover. I;ve been waiting for that for many many years, Always youtube I guess. Too bad some security guards out there have to take out their anger on us good reverent people. So, all I have for a momento is a very sore shoulder and arm!LOL! Maybe next time I can get a set list. Thanks for listening.
